How to Setup Project Settings

Please follow the steps below to configure Project Settings and save default values for a project. This will enable you to establish default configuration values for your project
  1. Navigate to the Web Portal and login
  2. On the left-hand main menu, select Projects-> Project Settings
  3. Project Spreadsheet shows the list of Projects. 
  4. Sites display a list of sites along with their corresponding details. 
  5. Project File Types show the list of File types.
  6. Closed Projects display the Completed and Cancelled Project lists
  7. Project Prefix: You can add any letter, group of letters, or a word to the beginning of a new Project Number
  8. Site Prefix: You can add any letter, group of letters, or a word to the beginning of a new Site Number
  9. Job Dispatch Prefix: You can add any letter, group of letters or a word to the beginning of a new Job Dispatch Number
  10. Pad with Zeros and Padding size can determine the project, site, and Job Dispatch Number size
  11. The number of Project Approvals Required: Number of people to approve the Project once it's uploaded.  It can be 0 to 2 numbers.
  12. Tracking Plan can be chosen from Category, Activity, or Activity item
  13. Project Labour CostsThe labour cost for the project can be calculated based on either each staff member's pay rate or the staff role rate.
  14. Project Plant Costs: The cost of a project plant can be determined based on either the individual plant or the type of plant being used.
  15. Project Cartage CostsThe cost of project cartage can be determined based on either the material being transported or the type of vehicle used for transportation
  16. Project Sub-Contractor CostsThe cost of a project SubContrator can be decided by the Purchase Orders or Supplier Quotes
  17. The functionality to allow non-registered items in the Breakdown option is still under development.
  18. Enabling the "Automatically Create Drop-off Point for Projects" option results in the automatic creation of a drop-off point entry under Purchase Setting->Drop-Off Points when a project is created. This entry includes the Project Status, Supplier Name, Project Name, and Site Address.
  19. The staff members can be assigned to a project or each task within the project
  20. Default Project Placeholder: Using the available placeholders, it is possible to configure the Default Project Name. The Project Name Values configured in this way will then appear in the Projects Task Manager Section.



  21. Charge Up Dayworks Activity Generation has two options to select
    a) Automatically Generate Activities automatically generate the activities under Project-> Dayworks
    b) Manually 
    Generate Activities allows adding activities under Project-> Dayworks
  22. Allow Comments in Dayworks Items allow to add comments under Project-> Dayworks
  23. Allow Image in Dayworks Items allows adding Image under Project-> Dayworks


  24. Click on Update Settings to Save
